Lucas works as a research assistant at the Regional Economics Research Center (CEER, spanish), a research group in applied economics from the Central Bank of Colombia located in Cartagena. He studied his BA in Economics at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá and his MA in Statistics at Columbia University in NYC. His research covers various economic and social topics in Colombia, always from a regional perspective. Some of his work has been published in national peer-reviewed journals. He is currently interested in studying regional differences in labor informality.
