Lucas works as a research assisstant at the Regional Economics Research Center (CEER, spanish), a research group in applied economics from the Central Bank of Colombia located in Cartagena. Studied his BA in Economics at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá and his MA in Statistics at Columbia University in NYC. His research has covered various economic and social topics in Colombia using a regional perspective. Some of his works have been published in national peer-reviewed journals. He is currently interested in studying regional differences in informality in the country.
