Profile:
Economist and master's degree in economics from the University of the Andes-Colombia, with a master's degree in economic theory and doctoral studies from the University of Toulouse-France. She has worked at the Colombian Central Bank in different positions and was Deputy Director of Economic Studies at the Latin American Reserve Fund (FLAR).
She currently holds the position of advisor-researcher in the Payment Systems and Banking Operation Division at Banco de la República. At the same institution she was an advisor to the General Manager, to the Communications Department, researcher in the Department of Financial Stability, Head of the macroeconomic programming section and advisor-researcher to the Deputy Technical Manager. She was macroeconomic policy advisor at the Minister of Finance.
She has been editor and coordinator of the Report of the General Manager of the Banco de la República, the Report of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank to the Congress and of Papers & Proceedings at FLAR.
She has been professor of financial stability, microeconomics of banking, economics of regulation, macroeconomics and monetary policy at the Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad del Rosario. Her publications have focused on monetary policy and banking.
